In 2002, Gabriella Ruta graduated with merit from York University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Certificate of Proficiency in Italian. Ms. Ruta obtained her LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2004. She completed her articles at Hicks Adams LLP in 2005 and following her call to bar, joined the firm as an associate. Ms. Ruta is fluent in Italian. She has dealt with numerous Criminal Code charges; including property offences, assault, breaches of court orders and drug related matters, in the Ontario Court of Justice from the bail hearing stage to trial.
